Aline Brosh McKenna

Aline Brosh McKenna is a writer, director, showrunner and producer.

Last year, McKenna made her feature film directing debut with “Your Place or Mine,” starring Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher on Netflix, which she also wrote and produced through her company, Lean Machine. That film was number one upon its release in the US and 92 other countries and remained in the top ten for 50 days.

She also wrote the 2006 screenplay for "The Devil Wears Prada,” which garnered her Writers Guild, BAFTA, and Scripter award nominations. McKenna’s other film credits include "27 Dresses,” starring Katherine Heigl; "Morning Glory," starring Rachel McAdams and Harrison Ford; the Cameron Crowe-directed "We Bought a Zoo” and the 2021 Disney film, “Cruella.” In all, her films have grossed over 1 billion dollars worldwide.

In television, she was the showrunner/co-creator of the award-winning comedy musical, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” which ran for four seasons.

She is developing numerous film and television projects with other writers through Lean Machine, with projects set up at Paramount, Wiip, ABC Signature and Netflix.
